Active Surveys

An active Wi-Fi site survey employs surveying tools linked to access points and is executed within your network. These tools can collect extensive data, encompassing traffic patterns, round-trip time (RTT), upload and download speeds, and overall throughput. It is advisable to perform regular active surveys across all properties, especially following any alterations to the building, furniture arrangement, or adjustments in the usage pattern of the Wi-Fi network.

Through APoS surveys, the radio frequency (RF) signal propagation characteristics of the environment are assessed, adding assurance that the proposed design will function according to plan.

This constitutes a crucial aspect of every Wireless LAN design, akin to testing Cat6 cable—it is performed post-installation. The evaluation includes meticulous examination of specifications such as near-side cross-talk, far-side cross-talk, pinouts, twist ratios, among others.
