We were delighted to be asked to attend the recent “Inspiring The Future” event at The Pingle Academy in Swadlincote, Derbyshire. This event was designed to offer support and advice to 14 and 15 year old students, to help them understand what to expect when seeking employment. 

One of the main tasks of the day was conducting mock interviews with the students and our Global Operations Manager Debbie Harriott represented FNG. 

Debbie had the chance to interview 6 students and to ask them challenging questions all of which were answered brilliantly! She then was on hand to offer advice about creating the perfect C.V, as well as answering questions about how a leading organisation in the IT sector is managed.

Debbie said afterwards “It’s absolutely brilliant to help the younger generation with their skill sets and to help them prepare for employment opportunities. I found it really rewarding to hear that when asking who the students admire the most, the majority of them chose their parents, rather than a famous celebrity. It just shows you how humble and caring they are. I’m really looking forward to being a part of this again and supporting the Inspiring The Future events.”

The Inspiring The Future event was also attended by representatives of Rolls Royce, Molson Coors and many other large businesses around the Derbyshire and Staffordshire areas.
